This lady is known in Japanese culture as a Maiko, which is an apprentice Geisha, and a symbol of mystery and beauty. These beautiful, traditional entertainers have been practicing their art for centuries, and she will undertake years of training in her skills before earning the right to the Geisha title.

Each Maiko design is drawn by hand, and tattooed onto the leather, which takes our tattoo artist around 3 hours to complete. Every tattoo is completely unique as they differ slightly due to the hand drawn process

  • Each wallet is individually numbered and comes with a certification card made from natural, recycled timber.
  • Made with leather from a small family run Tuscan tannery, who are renowned for producing the highest quality vegetable tanned leathers. They still use ancient Tuscan methods to produce their high quality leathers, and the nature of the tanning process results in a leather that will develop a fine, mellow patina with age and wear. The tannery focus on sustainability, and waste purification treatment to reduce the environmental impact of the tanning process.
  • Leather will darken to a rich shade of tan over time, as the wallet ages and develops, as only natural vegetable tanned leather can.
  • 10 card slots with 2 cash pockets.
  • Coin pocket with high quality Riri Zipper
  • Solid brass chain loop. Brass wallet chain available separately here
  • Complimentary 5ml bottle of neatstfoot oil for conditioning the leather.
