The enduring allure of Silver, has captivated civilisations for thousands of years, and holds a special interest for us, as our understated favourite of the precious metals.

After successfully working with our brass and copper hardware for many years, we decided to investigate using sterling silver as a hardware option.

Our quest took us into the heart of our home town of Birmingham, and the historic Jewellery Quarter, which has been home to the UK’s vibrant jewellery trade since the 1800’s.

It was there that we tracked down, and met with one of the last of the genuine silversmiths, who agreed to craft versions of our hardware in Sterling Silver.

Moulds were created and, over a period of weeks each piece started to take shape. We spent some time finalising the smaller details and then, finally our first range of buckles and wallet hardware were sent to be hallmarked by Birmingham’s famous Assay office, to be officially certified 925 Sterling Silver.
